Helena Barnes

I am a landscape artist based on the East Coast of the Scottish Highlands. You can often find me walking in barren (but beautiful) English, Welsh and Scottish countryside, hills, and mountains with my wonderful map-loving partner. I take as many photographs as I can, and use these images as well as memory to recreate the atmospheric beauty of these landscapes back in my home studio.
I’m big on skies, big on a sense of place, and big on dramatic textures.
