Cara McKinnon Crawford

Cara Mckinnon Crawford is one of Scotland’s most established artists. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, her bold, but sensitive mastery of oil paint result in beautiful interpretations of some of the country’s most iconic land and seascape.

Cara travels the length and breadth of the country to lesser known corners and many of the Scottish islands. Cara searches for unique and individual compositions, which in turn lead to the dramatic and atmospheric paintings, with which she is associated.

Much of Cara’s work is painted on location, applying the paint directly onto the canvas. Cara’s paintings are spontaneous, energetic and uniquely evocative, demonstrating her deep connection to Scotland, capturing all it’s mystical diversity.
