Catherine Putman lives and works in Ardgour, on Ardnamurchan, with her husband and two daughters.  She specializes in individual studies of local wildlife and, for an occasional change, African animals. Her deer are very popular, along with seals, otters, hedgehogs, stalkers and many more.  Her pastel work gives such stunning detail it seems to show the glint in the eye and the texture of the fur.

Catherine works mainly in pastels but also in charcoal,  pen and ink and colour-washed ink producing some stunning results.  She is also delighted to take commissions for local pet owners.
