David Mitchell
was born in Surrey in 1936. After completing his
education and national service he chose the life of a business man
in the international oil and gas industry. This took him to
most corners of the world until, in 1990, he and his wife were so
entranced with the beauty of the Ardnamurchan Penninsula that they
moved there. Although David was always keen on drawing it was
not until his retirement that he started to paint in acrylics.
He now spends much of the wetter months painting his local area, and
during the summer spends his time on his other interest of fishing.
