Alison Lyon
I was born and brought
up in Ardrishaig, Mid-Argyll, where I started painting
while still at school. I moved to Glasgow in the
early eighties to attend university and graduated with a
BSc Civ Eng from Glasgow University.
After working for several years in Engineering I decided
to return to more creative pursuits and took up painting
again. I now live and work in Ayrshire with my husband,
two young children and various livestock!
I exhibit in various galleries in Scotland and have work
in private collections as far afield as Canada, Jersey
and France.
Growing up in Mid-Argyll made it very difficult not to
paint!. The drama and light are ever changing and I love
the wonderful skies. I work in oils and pastels and
return to the West coast regularly to recharge my soul.
My paintings are honest and as I see them. I hope you
enjoy them.
