Margaret Evans is internationally known for her portraits in oil and pastel, and a member of the Portrait Society of America featuring regularly in the International Artist Magazine.  Her numerous teaching videos and DVDs are available worldwide.  A past President of the SAA and pastel advisor, she has started many on the road to painting.   Shinafoot in Auchterarder, Perthshire is Margaret's home base and venue for her workshops.

“For me, painting is about self expression...learn the basics, practise the techniques, conquer the fear, appreciate the challenges and off you go! I love giving people the freedom to express themselves because so many people are artistic and just don't realise it. I believe everyone has artistic talent in them - it's just a matter if bringing it out. That's my job... to find that opening, nurture and encourage it, then let you loose!"
